Sketchtravel Film by Dice Tsutsumi. He started working with animation as a colorkey artist on Ice Age. Since 2007 he is working for Pixar. For example he created concept paintings for Wall-E and color scripts for Toy Story 3. For this animation short promoting the Sketchtravel project he uses a beautiful color scripting technique. I hope to get a printed version of the Sketchtravel book, too. When I first read about it I thought it is a great idea and I really like the artists (e.g. Rebecca Dautremer or Glen Keane)who added some artwork to it.
“Since I’m not an animator, my focus is to carry a story through all the visual staging elements — color, lighting, and composition. I painted every single frame of the film by myself with a little help from friends and a small amount of After Effects movements. It took me six months to complete it while I was preparing for the auction event.”-Dice Tsutsumi
